John O’Dell was born about 50 miles northeast of Columbus, OH in the small town of Mount Vernon. Less than two weeks after turning 18, John enrolled at the Memphis School of Preaching in Memphis, TN. John then studied at the West Virginia School of Preaching in Moundsville, WV, and is yet again enrolled at the Memphis School of Preaching, taking graduate level classes, which he expects to complete in June 2022.
Since graduating from preaching school in 2005, John has worked with the following congregations:
- South Main Church of Christ (New Lexington, OH)
- State Route 38 Church of Christ (Washington Court House, OH)
- Evans Church of Christ (Evans, GA)
John met the love of his life, Rachel Baxter of Denver, CO, in October 2013, and they were wed in December 2014. Rachel has been John faithful companion and friend ever since.
